Advancing Women’s Voices

An empowering training course created to address the specific issues that affect women's voices at work.

Advancing Women’s Voices includes all the techniques talked about in our flagship programme on Confidence in Communication page as well as content created to address the specific issues that affect women's voices at work.

We recognise and understand the prevalent issues, both subtle and obvious, that stand in the way of women being fully heard and utilised in their company. Yet we are not of the school of thought that women "should speak and act more like men" in order to get further up the ladder.

We use a theatre technique called Forum Theatre to transform power dynamics and empower the individual with new agency.

We acknowledge that it would be ineffective to only train people in one side of a conversation. So we invite male participants to join selected sessions containing liberating research on the role of gender in voice and communication to be of use to everyone.

We are also aware of the conscious and unconscious ways women can adapt their voice to be less impactful in order to be judged as acceptable. We teach our clients to find their authentic voice, as we know this is what people listen and connect to. Our clients leave our training aware of themselves and in control of how they want to effect their listener.

Below are the results from the first BBC cohort to receive the ACT Women: Advancing Women’s Voices Training Programme:

Our Co-founder, Chloe Ward has also worked with Solace Women's Aid, designing a Voice Training course for female survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Whilst furthering her knowledge in all aspects of the challenges that face women's communication, she aims to help women build confidence in their communication and provide a space to give themselves the permission to speak clearly and without fear.

This group course can accommodate up to 15 participants per cohort and we are able to work to your team’s schedule. Please get in touch by clicking on the CONNECT button above. We look forward to discussing your communication needs at your free Zoom consultation.
